Mozart's most popular opera! A delightfully comic, wonderfully racy evening of fun.
This continuation of the story of Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia takes place at a castle near Seville, Spain in the eighteenth century. Figaro and Susanna are about to be married, but their employer, Count Almaviva, wants the bride-to-be for himself. Countess Almaviva laments her husband's infidelity. He suspects that she is toying with the page, Cherubino, but it isn't true. Susanna and the Countess exchange clothing and, through various means of subterfuge, get the Count to acknowledge the error of his ways.
