This year’s Lifetime Award Recipients The Smothers Brothers will be honored – celebrating 50 years in comedy! Hosted by Jim McCue, the Comedian of the Year Award will be presented and other special guests will be announced. You never know who will drop by!
The eight comics who, after competing with 98 of the nation’s funniest up-and-comers, make it past the preliminary and semi-final rounds, will vie for $10,000 in prizes.
The Boston Comedy Festival Contest has become known for its ability to provide significant breaks to up-and-coming comics. Contest judges are agents, casting people, managers and comedy veterans, and many of the comedy business professionals who flock to Boston for the festival are on hand to see the competition.
